Super Import Night 2009

Today is the last day for the Super Import Night 2009. I woke up at 11am and headed for the event. I thought it was at Suntec Convention Centre level 4 so I took a cab down, reached at 1pm. At level 4 of the convention centre, what I saw was only the food fair. I was like OH MY GOD.

F.Y.I – Super Import Nights – The Ultimate Motorshow is notably the biggest and only tuner car show in Singapore that is returning for the third successive year. It has the characteristics of the Tokyo Autosalon as well as the virtues of Hot Import Nights (USA).

I immediately checked the Super Import Night website and spotted the venue to be EXPO Hall 4 instead. Rushed down back to level 1 to grab a taxi to EXPO. Luckily at that time, there was someone alighting. Finally reached EXPO at 1.40pm, total damage just for the 2 trips -> 12+ + 13+ = $25++. Painful mistake man.

Chiong to buy ticket and I think I saw Jess but I not sure, but better don’t call her, later self pwned. When I entered Hall 4 at about 2pm, just in time for the import models on main stage, a pity I forgot to bring my digital camera! It was followed by the pole dance finals on main stage. After the 2 shows, I walked around the venue and saw 2 NS friends. There are quite a few good deals around, but so far no plans to mod my car so decided to just window shop. I vividly remembered Carol saying that she will be at the show but I didn’t spot her. Guess she didn’t go today, or I didn’t recognise her.

Oh yeah, I saw Celestina a few times at the tyres booth (I forgot the name). She was posing on a small podium the first time and the second time she was dancing Nobody by Wonder Girls with some other models. Wanted to take a picture with her but again, forgot to bring camera ._. There was this lady with her who looks damn cool like an ice queen in the same area with Celestina but I don’t know her name. I think I saw Jeslin, Jvnne and Kanny too. First time seeing them in person so I’m not sure if I’m seeing the right people, haha.

Anyway, the human traffic was very smooth there and I kinda pity the models there. Tens of DSLRs and digicams flashed at them continuously as those photographers moved as a group and each ’session’ lasted at least 10 minutes. I walked round and round several times, with new happenings almost every half hour at different booths and finally left at 6pm. Cabbed back home as it was raining quite heavily. Another 20+ bucks gone.

Last but not least, I got 2 mousepads taken with the models and myself. <3
